Audio Companion #93 with Robin Brenneman of the Hilliard Arts Council

2025 Season Preview and 50 Year Celebration!

We’re kicking off the New Year with a celebration of the Hilliard Arts Council's 50th anniversary!

Robin, Kevin and Tim bundled up in the studio!

Joining us is return guest and Artistic Director Robin Brenneman, who reflects on the organization’s origins, starting with a 1975 performance of Handel’s Messiah. Robin shares the council’s evolution from hosting just two annual events to becoming a vibrant hub for arts in Hilliard, complete with its own theater and gallery space.

The 50th anniversary lineup is packed with exciting events, including a February improv tournament, a summer craft fair, and the Live the Legacy event in the fall, honoring multi-generational involvement in the arts. Highlights of this season include productions like Matilda Jr., The Glass Menagerie, and the classic musical Brigadoon. Robin also teases the launch of a clown troupe for kids, emphasizing the council’s dedication to fostering creativity and building a sense of community.

In addition to upcoming shows, Robin encourages community support through a new membership program and corporate sponsorships. As always, the Arts Council remains a cornerstone of Hilliard’s cultural fabric, providing opportunities for all ages to connect with the arts.

Stay tuned for all the details on upcoming events and how to support the arts in Hilliard!
