'Did You See the Shiver Go Up My Back When You Asked About Electing a Law Director?'

Yes I did see it and 'No,' we shouldn't do it. Another rangy and important discussion with Hilliard's veteran mayor
Mayor Roger Reynolds with Kevin Corvo (2021)

SPECIAL ALERT: Hilliard Food Pantry has suffered a significant setback as a result of a large warehouse fire. For details and donation information to support the re-establishment as soon as possible of a pantry that serves over 450 families a week please click on this link. Thank You! - eds.

In the sequel to our first conversation with Mayor Roger Reynolds we discuss some of the history surrounding landmark Hilliard businesses and how they got their start. Of particular note was the evolution of the Mark Pi’s brand into regional powerhouse and the role played by Hilliard government at the time.

We then talk a little bit about the direction of city development during that era. How connectivity evolved through the ebb and flow of the zoning process and a desire to make a safer, more welcoming city for business and families.

Lastly, we touched on the discussions now taking place in city government regarding charter changes and Roger’s history with various departments and their structure over the years. We ask him directly about his preferences on the matter and his history with law directors in particular.

We hope you find this conversation enjoyable and insightful!
