Hilliard: Our Window on the World

HBAC #64

Good Tuesday afternoon to everyone!

In today’s episode we discuss:

  • Kevin’s piece on potential developments to rural and township zoning at the state level via the bipartisan Ohio Senate Bill #243

  • Tolles Career and Technical Center in Plain City is undergoing a leadership challenge as a vote of no confidence has emerged from the Tolles Education Association. We discuss the benefits of the highly regarded technical school and our plans to get more on this emerging story.

  • We discuss the May 16th City Council meeting and Kevin’s piece ‘Test of Leadership.’ We talk through how the meeting was conducted, the balance of the community response, and the picture going forward about how Hilliard’s residents can feel represented under the present conditions and also go about building new tools to deal with various problems - worldly or local. We also discuss the process chain of city administration in this case and whether or not residents can feel empowered with regard to their elected representatives given city responses.
