The Hilliard Food Pantry, housed at Life Community Church, 4400 Cemetery Road, has received an outpouring of support from the community to help restore the sustenance it gives the community since a July 9 fire ravaged the rear portion of the building where the panty operates.
The latest support came from three girls who set up a lemonade stand Aug. 3 on Norwich Street and raised more than $200.
Customers included Unit 3 of the Norwich Township Fire Department who stopped Station 81’s ladder truck in front of the stand purchasing the last of the lemonade the girls had to offer.

The philanthropic effort was the idea of Charlie Hultin, 10, who enlisted the help of her six-year-old sister, Quincy, and her classmate and friend, 11-year-old Lydiah Powell.
“Some of my friends donated to the food pantry and I wanted to help too,” Hultin said.
