I'm often skeptical of folks who respond to a call for mutual de-escalation with accusations of bigotry. It would seem Vermillion's only true misstep was that of timing, presumably due to Cole and Betts' impatience. They cost her (and their own party member) the council presidency, imo. There's no urgency in a largely symbolic resolution...
I really enjoyed this conversation. I am curious, how are legislative items brought up at council? Are they just items that the administration wants to be discussed? Can individual members bring up legislative items? What's the process?
